This is a guide to some of the more specific points of character creation. It won't cover the entire process, but is designed to shed some light on the finer details and answer some questions that I think would otherwise be asked all too often. So I hope this saves some time and confusion, but let me know if I'm missing something and I'll add it to the list along with an explanation. Thanks ahead of time for the input! Now to begin!
Ranks: All characters from the manga will start at their rank as it is in Part 2 of the series; ex. Naruto will be a Genin, Rock Lee will be a Chuunin, Neji will be a Jounin, and Gaara will be the Kazekage. As for all Original Characters, the ranks of Student and Genin are available without question. However, it's possible to acquire a higher rank right from the start. One must meet the following requirements in order to achieve their desired rank. Keep in mind that it's also possible to gain ranks in character; ex. Chuunin Selection Exams. Moving on...
Chuunin: You must include include in the character's background the details concerning their promotion and give sufficient evidence that the character would be a capable squad leader on missions. Not hard, right? Just takes a little more effort.
Jounin: You must include in the character's background the details concerning their promotion and give sufficient evidence that the character would be a capable of leading and teaching a group of Genin on a full-time basis. Also, it helps if additional intensive is given; ex. You have had another character on here previous to this one and are known to be a fair, fun RPer and don't cause problems.
Kage-Level: The rank of Satoosa will not be given out to Original Characters. However, some people are still skilled enough to reach that level. Special permission is needed to start at this level, and the the founding Admin (that's me) alone can grant it. I won't hand this out on a whim, and don't bother asking unless the requirements for the Jounin rank have been met and a few good reasons can be given as to what would drive me to allow it. Examples of reasons that are NOT good are as follows; "It'd be fun," "I wanna be powerful because...," or "I won't abuse the power." Don't expect to get this rank.
Bloodline Limit: No. You cannot be an OC Uchiha. Now that that's settled... Bloodline Limits work like this. You fill out an application for Bloodline Limits, submit it, and if it's approved, then it can be used. It will be archived and people from the same clan as the character can also use it. Others must ask permission from YOU before making a character with the registered Bloodline Limit. In the same manner, other people can grant permission to use their own Bloodline Limit.
Jutsu: There will be a list of available Jutsu in the Jutsu Archive, but into addition to these people can fill out the Jutsu application and submit their own. Once it's approve, characters can acquire the Jutsu with the permission of the one who registered it, just as with Bloodline Limits. Jutsu, among other things, are "purchased" with the use of ¥. This will be explained in further detail when we get to ¥.
RYOU ¥: This ¥ represents "points" used to purchase Jutsu, and other such things after character creation. Five ¥ are earned per in character post, and Karma is worth +/- 1. Because of this I ask that if someone feels that their character's karma is being "attacked" that it's reported to me, and I'll deal with it. Various amounts of ¥ will also be awarded for certain out of character things as well, and in this manner it can also be taken. These "points" represent character development over time, and provides effective praise and punishment. It's not too complicated. I'll do most of the work for it, so... Yeah.
