Chakra Required: It is possible for an experienced genin to summon Kawaken, though you must be more experienced to summon larger creatures of the same family.
Background: Kawaken is a small otter summon from a family of otters that possess varying strengths and abilities. He is male, young, strong willed and a friendly creature. He has developed a strong bond with Kohaku and will protect him of his own will. Kawaken's abilities are water based due to the otter's nature. Techniques include:

Hahonryuu - Destrustion Torrent
Mizurappa - Violent Water Wave
Mizuame Nabara - Starch Syrup Capture Field
Moguragakure no Jutsu - Mole Hiding Technique
The Kawauso family come from a secret village called Morigawa where otter summons live (e.g. Myôbokuzan for the toads). Such as with the toads, the higher up the hierarchy, the larger the individual summon. Kawaken is one of the smaller, younger summons.
