Clan Leader: Yamaki Daichi, grandfather of Kohaku
Hidden Village: Konohagakure

Background: A small clan which was in existence before the formation of Konoha itself. It is one of the clans that joined the Senju and Uchiha to build the first Hidden Shinobi Village. The leader of the clan is always the oldest member of the main family and is passed down through generations.
In the past the clan took part in the Konoha war, many members died however the clan were not eradicated and helped to rebuild a damaged Konoha using their earth-Jutsu techniques after the war was over. After the war the clan had lost members, which is why in the present day they remain a smaller clan than before.
In their current time the clan has a quarter the number of some of the larger clans in Konoha (e.g. Hyuuga). They are low key and peace loving, detesting war, though they would protect their village fiercely as they did in the Konoha war many years before. They are concentrating on regaining strength and getting their numbers back as they were before the Konoha war.
They are an intelligent clan, many younger members graduating ninja academy successfully at a young age and also are skilled in the art of summoning. The Yamaki clan traditionally summons the otter species. They are an Earth-natured clan and are highly skilled. Their family symbol is circular and has a leaf and mountain back-to-back – representing the earth-style nature they possess. The symbol is made up of two main colours, green and brown. There is a green leaf on a brown background and a brown mountain on a green background, surrounded by a half-brown half-green ring.
