Yanagi, was her name. It suited her bendy, subtle frame well. "You won't be so lucky as to land another hit!" she snarled. Her face pained her when she changed her facial expression to her sadistic smile. The girl was taller than she was but Yuzumi was more muscular in build. Although she had lost herself to the thrill of the fight she was still focused on winning. She watched closely as Yanagi's stance became more relaxed though she maintained a slight crouch. Despite the unthreatening appearance of her position Yuzumi suspected there was an assault on it's way.
She was not quite ready for the speed with which Yanagi came at her. She was almost a blur, she moved so fast. The right caught her face, Yuzumi took a step back - startled by the blow and in pain. The left hook, she through back with a swift movement from her arm and the kick swung at her. She placed a leg back to steady herself aswell as to allow for her next movement. She made to grab Yanagi's leg and then shift her weight on to her rear leg. Her intention was to hold her by the leg and spin until she had enough momentum to launch her into the tree's. Her steely eyes flashed manically as she attempted to throw the girl like a hammer.

Yanagi couldn’t quite hold back a painful grin when her punch hit its mark – so much for not landing another hit. The Mist Jounin shouldn’t be so presumptuous. Her near-smirk faded almost instantly however when Yuzumi grabbed her leg after the kick, already starting to spin. ‘Not good,’ She noted. Yanagi could let herself be thrown or try and abort the throw. Attempt the second, if it failed, go with the first. At least then there would be a fair amount of distance between them – it’d give her thinking space and enough time to perform the hand seals for a jutsu if she needed to.
Following this idea, Yanagi swung herself up into the air, making Yuzumi’s job easier until the Konoha shinobi contracted her trapped leg to pull herself closer to the Jounin, then lashed out at Yuzumi’s face with her free leg, hoping to hit her nose though aiming was nearly impossible when the wind was blurring her vision and pushing against her. If she did hit her nose, even if it didn’t break it should bleed heavily – it might impair the Mist-nin’s vision. It would give another advantage to Yanagi, if the kick connected. It probably wouldn’t knock her off-balance, but it could make her take a step backwards with pain or surprise, which should disrupt the throw and give Yanagi the chance to get free.

Yuzumi grinned when her attempt to grab the girl's leg was successful. She'd been expecting some sort of ill aimed reaction from Yanagi as she was being spun but there was nothing she could do about it besides brace herself for the inevitable impact. Yuzumi's wild kick found it's mark, landing hard on Yuzumi's nose. Instantly the shooting pains blinded her and the blood gushed from her now slightly crooked nose. She growled and ground her teeth. To avoid losing the needed momentum of the spin she dug her nails into Yanagi's ankle. Opening her eyes a crack she chose the target she would throw Yanagi at. In this case it was a large boulder to the side of the road several metres away.
The second she released Yanagi she raised a hand to her face to feel the damage. She winced as her fingers found her bent, cut nose. Again she gritted her teeth. If it was going to look normal again she'd have to move it into place so that it would set correctly. She grabbed it and pushed it with a sickening click. A cry escaped her lips as she did so. Her steely eyes looked around angrily for Yanagi. Her blood was boiling. She performed a few handseals and within moments a powerful jet of water was erupting towards the girl from her mouth. To have an advantage in this situation she needed water so the accuracy of this jutsu was not very important. The blood was still flowing from her very painful nose and she found that she was unable to breath through it. It was uncomfortable but the blood didn't phase her in the slightest though it did give her a more menacing appearance and filled her mouth with the metallic, salty taste that was distinctly that of blood.

Her attempt to stop the throw failing, Yanagi waited for the impact, but before it happened, she relaxed rather than tensing up. People had survived fatal falls because they were unconscious – therefore utterly relaxed – when they hit the ground, and Yanagi used this to try and soften the blow of slamming into a boulder at speed. It still hurt like hell though. She landed on her feet, but the sudden pain had her using the stone behind her as support as she fought to get her breath back, wincing as she kept her eyes on Yuzumi. She managed a grin when she saw the Mist-nin’s bloody face, pleased with being able to hit her target despite the fact she couldn’t aim properly.
Her eyes narrowed when she saw the hand seals, then widened in alarm when the water shot towards her. 'Shi-' Cussing, she turned and leapt over the rock, though the attack caught her just as she was at the peak of her jump. Still, she fell through the attack before the main body of water had hit – if it had it would have knocked her away from her shield completely - and quickly ducked against the boulder, watching as the rest of the water ninjutsu pounded over her head, missing her as she knelt in the stone’s shadow.
Her back felt as if it had been hit by a sledgehammer after hitting the rock then being struck by the suiton technique, and Yanagi was certain it wouldn’t revert back to its natural colour from black and blue bruises for days. Keeping her breathing even, Yanagi leapt out from behind her hiding place, already forming hand seals. She was pleased she hadn’t been the first to use one, but she was feeling the need to now as the fight grew more serious. Medium-sized fireballs sped towards Yuzumi in a loose group, intending to catch her no matter which way she moved as Yanagi put the first step into her plan of action. The first move was always a decoy, after all.
Hoping that the Jounin would be too occupied dodging fireballs to notice, Yanagi used her one doton technique to go underground, moving so she was directly underneath Yuzumi. Barely waiting a beat, she breached the ground and snatched at the older kunoichi’s ankle, aiming to pull her into the ground and trap her there. If she succeeded, it would – should – end the battle, unless Yuzumi knew a way to escape.

Yuzumi was glad to see the girls painful expression between her impact and the suiton attack. She'd have allowed herself a grin if it wasn't for the paralysing pain in her face. When Yanagi dipped behind the rock in her evasive manoever she was expecting somesort of retaliation most likely a long distance attack or jutsu. The moment she disappeared she began a more intricate string of handseals to have a defense ready. She stopped a seal before the end of the jutsu to see the fireballs as they hurtled towards her, a typical Konoha move. She wondered if there might be more to it but she didn't have time to consider it further. Hastily she made the final seal and instantly her jutsu came into effect. Water encampment wall. A torrent of water from the previous attack rose up to reduce the balls of flame to steamy hisses and orange glows through the haze of the water. Although there was no need for jumping around evasively she still felt the strain from using the large amount of chakra that defensive jutsu required. Another drawback to the powerful wall she had created was her new found inability to see her opponant. That was until she felt the hand grabbing at her ankles. A doton technique.
It had taken her by surprise and before she had time to kick was already down to her knee's in the earth. Hastily she strung her hands together whilst thrashing her legs as best she could in the hopes of catching a lucky hit. Drawing her hands to her face she launched Endan at her own legs in an attempt to break free from ths incapacitating jutsu. The searing flame burnt at her legs and sizzled her clothingbut with any luck it would surprise Yanagi the way her second element had her. It was annoying to think she only had one outright elemental advantage against this girl. She was begining to wonder whether Yanagi was a higher rank than she had originally considered.
[ooc- sorry it's so shitty, I lost my muse and had to really orce this out]

For a single moment, Yanagi thought she had her. The Mist kunoichi was already buried up to her knees, her chances of escape narrowing with each swiftly stolen inch despite her wild thrashing. Then the flames hit. It took Yanagi a moment to register the pain, during which she stared at the flames with pinpoint pupils, watching the orange tongues licking at her hand, her mind knowing exactly what had just happened but her brain wasn’t quite willing to compute.
She recoiled as the first blare of pain struck, whipping her hand out of the fire and retreating a few yards away, still underground. She used the relative shield this gave her to assess her wound and get a hand on the pain signals she was being bombarded with. It wasn’t as bad as the pain had first made her think; her hand was pink and raw, but there didn’t appear to be any serious burns. Lucky.
Yanagi glanced upwards at the surface, considering her next move. There was an option that sprang to mind instantly, but the Chuunin was reluctant to act on it. It was a powerful attack, she had a near-perfect cover for it now she was underground; Yuzumi wouldn’t expect it. But she didn’t want to kill the other woman. Disregarding the idea for until she really needed it, if this ridiculous fight reached that stage, she went with her next plan.
Yanagi knew better than to expect Yuzumi to have stayed still in the second or two that had passed, and had no idea where the Jounin was, so didn’t try to guess. Instead, she ploughed straight up, bursting out of the ground and tugging a small scroll from her pocket, unravelling it as she went, twisting in the air to find Yuzumi as she bit her thumb and stained the paper with blood, the summoned weapons flying from her hands as they came to them, a multitude of vicious blades and clubs amongst other things raining down towards the ground and Yuzumi.
[OOC: no worries, I can wait. You just post when you can and want to.]
