The forest of death... The place were the second phase of the chuunin exam always takes place. The forest was so dark that whoever was inside couldn't be sure whether it was day or night... Creatures roamed the forest searching for food, some were just birds and insects, harmful really, although others were predators like poisonous snakes and tigers... The forest goes on and on and on, when a person is inside it looks like a never-ending nightmare, for the new Gennins that is. Every chuunin exam is always the same... First fas a question test, Second The Test of Getting the Scrolls of Heaven and Earth in the forest, Third and Forth battle time! The only one that was worth going to... It's always fun to see the little kids battling.
Although not all the parts of the forest are completely dark and dangerous, in the middle of the forest there's a clearing, in the middle of it is a huge tower. During the exam that's the objective once the two scrolls are recovered, from the top of the tower the forest stretches to the horizon. On top of the tower this moment someone was there. Watching over the sun rising from the horizon of trees. It was Yami, the surviving member of Kaguya... The big sleeves of the kimono was flapping has well has the bottom has a few small gusts of wind came from the forest. In his hand he was holding one of his ribs, it looked just like a normal dagger, it was twirling and spinning around his hand. After a few spins Yami grabbed the bone dagger firmly while gazing into the horizon again, "Tch... Pathetic village, I wished you would burn to the ground...", he said distastefully has he covered his gray eyes with his glasses. He stood up and walked to the end of the tower, he didn't even look down, he just let go of everything and went straight down. He fell off the tower like a rock, his long hair became straight has the air passed through it. When Yami hit the ground he was already in a upright position, a cloud of dust raised, although Yami kept walking like nothing happened. His direction was the forest, has he stepped in the red from his kimono started to fade from sight.
When he was far enough from the tower and from any curious eyes, he said in a soft almost creepy tone, "Yanagi no Mai", two bone blades appear from his palms, then Yami charged up slicing every tree he came across, he charged, sliced, spined and did long range slices by growing the bones a bit. When he was satisfied, he looked behind and saw the trees falling one by one. He smirked and said "Good... I'm getting faster...But it's not enough! I need more power!", he said has he threw the blades onto the ground. "I need to pass that Chuunin exam, I need to gain access to those scrolls... By all means necessary!", Yami grabbed the swords and said loudly "Yaemugura no Mai", he charged at a huge tree in front of him, he slashed it two times and started a flurry of stabs, then he placed himself behind the tree and bone spikes came from all over his body, impaling the tree again. The only thing that remained from the tree was saw dust and the head of the tree. The log was completely pulverized. Panting a bit, he knelled has a bit of blood came from his mouth he had forgotten to take the medicine... Good thing he always carries it. He put the bones back together, recovering his normal look. He reached for his inner pocket and grabbed a pill, which he swallowed. "Blah... It tastes awefully!", although the blood stopped and he could stand straight.

Aize had been in konoha for a while now, he had come from his extreamly large home in Hidden Mist to partake in the chuunin exams, He wasn’t sure if they were being held in konoha this year but this was where they were last held so if it had changed someone here would know about it.
He had never attended ninja academy, so was not technically eligible for the chuunin exams, but had enough resources behind him that he could be who ever or what ever he said he was and no one would argue. He had spent the last month or so reading almost every book in the konoha library attempting to gain knowledge of what to expect in the chuunin exams. So far he had only figured out that there was always a paper round, a challenge round and a two combat rounds. He knew he was smart enough for the paper and almost sure to win in the combat rounds unless he was faced with another one of his kind. That only left the challenge/survival round left, it had not always been in the forest of death but this seamed like as good a place as any to start. With that in mind he had decided to enter the forest of death.
He had travelled to the forest of death and had been staring into it for a while. Calculating every possible outcome, was it guarded, was there really a reason there was a 9 foot fence all the way around it… logically since they send kids into it there was probably nothing to dangerouse in there but he had been warned about the poisonous plant life, the maze of trees and a the dangerous animals. None the less he knew that it was not prohibited to enter the forest it was certainly advised against so again probably for good reason. He was mussing it over in his mind when he heard several almighty crashed coming from within the forest, they were to far away to see, he wanted to go an investigate but what ever it was would probably have moved by the time he got there. With this in mind he ran at the fence and launched himself over the fence, landing on the other side crouched, he knew he was in no danger but it always paid to be careful, he didn’t want to have to get his tailor to come all the way out here just because he ripped his cloths. He stood up from his crouched position and began to walk deeper into the forest of death at a leisurely pace.

Has Yami stood up he watched the pulverized tree... With a grin he said "Humm Not bad, if I do say so myself... But it's still not enough! I need more...", his insatiable greed for power was the thing corrupting him, he almost never sleeps, he practices and practices, he spends his days practicing his dances. When he wasn't practicing them he was practicing his throws with his bone fingers. He would only stop to take his medicine, to eat some soldier pills or when he dropped from exhaustion. Which happened quite a lot since he didn't sleep... That was enough dance training... Time for some throwing practice. Yami walked a few paces until he finally found a similar tree. They were perfect for practicing since their logs were huge and really resistant to melee blows... Although not resistant enough to handle Yami's bone swords. Yami fenced the tree first, pointing his right hand fingers. He breathen in deeply and closed his eyes. He pictured a pattern in his mind. Suddenly his eyes opened and bone bullet's were already being launched from his finger tips. Then he spin-ed in his current position and used both hands to shoot, then he backfliped and has he did it he used the two hands to throw again, he jumped and has he spin-ed horizontally in mid-air he continued firing the bullets; then he did a cartwheel with one hand while using the other for shooting. He continued doing this until finally the pattern became clear. The tree was full of holes, the bullets went right through the tree, leaving this pattern : The meaning was revenge. He smirked has he stepped back and took a look at his work. The picture was precise, flawless actually, although the end was a bit crooked on the second sign, although it wasn't really noticeable, he became aggravated and said "Susuki no Mai", he then grabbed his humerus, that became a bone sword and in a blink of an eye he chopped the tree in half. Has it was falling he continued cutting it until the huge tree became only medium sized pieces of wood. Yami placed his humerus back and said aggravated "Tch... I hate imperfection...I need more training, it has to become perfect!", he sat on the mount of lumber and watched the patch that he created for chopping the tree down. He could see the clouds now...

Aize was now about a third of the way into the forest, the only even remotely dangerous things he had seen were a moving plant or two and some toxic looking insects, then again it may just have been because he had never seen them before. If you didn’t touch them they weren’t all that much of a threat, perhaps he had over thought this “exam” perhaps this part of the exam was only a survival challenge for those that were intellectually challenged… and blind. He continued to walk for a while taking mental notes of his surroundings, perhaps… perhaps if he made a map of the forest of death and sold it he could make money as well as pass the test, the more entrants that were there through no skill of there own would make for easy targets. This thought was snapped from his mind when he heard a tree fall perhaps half a mile from where he was, it was difficult to tell which direction because of the echo from all the other trees but he was pretty sure he was going in the right direction. He followed where the sound came from at a brisk dash and after several minutes at this speed he arrived at what looked like a clearing, On closer enspection it was infact “man made”, the trees had been cut rather than torn or fallen.
He scanned the area for a second or two until his eyes came to rest on a boy probably not much older than him standing in the clearing… this was an awfully strange place to rest or picnic but each to there own. He didn’t know what to make of the other person, would he be a genin like him training in the “forest of death”… now that he thought about it, the forest its self was actually not that dangerous but back to the boy, a Genin or a higher rank ninja looking to make a profit like him, whoever he was he looked harmless enough. ”…” He was about to yell something belittling but, remembered that he didn’t want to insult a possible squad leader so decided just to call out politely.
”Pardon my intrusion, may I inquire as to your affair in the forest of death” … although he was polite he expected the recipient to be as arrogant and thick as many others and simple ignor or insult him, well each to there own, it wasn’t him that was going to get smote.

Yami was looking at the sky, he wished he was free to soar the sky like a hawk, without a care in the world... Although his day-dreaming was interrupted by steps from afar, they seemed quick and who ever was making the noise was getting closer and closer, by the looks of it it was a shinobi, a normal person couldn't absolutely travel that fast. Now the question was, was it some Gennin who was also practicing, or was it a Anbu spying on Yami again? God it Yami wished it wasn't Anbu, he was so fed up with them, always keeping an eye on him, it was pure luck he got away from them in the first place and hid in the forest. Why would Anbu be watching him? Was it because of his bloodline? Was the Hokage afraid that Yami would go Bezerke and kill everyone? That was just stupid... Even though Yami wanted revenge on the Hokage, he never would put innocent civilians in danger, although, shinobis were an entirely different matter... Yami didn't really care if he killed any shinobi, there were more then that came from, frankly Yami liked killing... Maybe it was a bit of the Kaguya clan gene? Possibly.
After a bit, the one making the noise finally appeared, luckily for Yami, it was just a regular Gennin. Yami didn't look at him, his eyes were behind his round sunglasses and were gazing above at the blue sky. The guy addressed Yami, but he still didn't look at him. What was he doing there? No one was allowed to enter the Death forest... Yami only did this because no one could know about his Kekkai Genkai. He needed to keep it a secret, you never know if there was a Amegakure ninja between the people in Korohagakure. He sighed before answering the guy, he hoped that if Yami would answer him he would go away. Although that didn't seem what a arrogant guy such has he would do... The tone he used to address Yami was a bit spoiled. "Yes if you must... Training.", he said and he finally took a look at the guy. Yami never saw him around the village on his walks so he probably wasn't from Konoha, plus the fact that he is in the forest means he was curious about it, and no Gennin in Konoha had the guts to be there... He must be from outside and is waiting for the Chuunin exam to begin. "Now I'm the one who should be asking... What are you doing here? Seeing that your here, your probably from outside, you must be here for the Chuunin exam... What village do you hail from?", he tried to find the head plate but he couldn't see it, that's why he asked the question.

Perfect this individual was here on the same mission as he was… as it were, although in Aize opinion levelling this part of the forest seamed a little pointless, there was no similarity between tree’s and a human target. That was why Aize always fought and killed his servants.
He stood there for a second while the boy answered, it was strange he spoke as though he were of a commoner’s background yet his speech was garnished with words from a larger than average vocabulary, this was good news for Aize. It meant that the boy was intelligent and would not be a chore to sit and listen to, not that he presumed there would be much speech, the boy didn’t seam to keen on talking to anyone. Maybe it was just Aize though.
He thought before answering, should he reveal his real village of origen or to protect his family and there secret from being infiltrated should he come up with a lie, after a second of deliberation he decided to come up with a half fake persona“… I technically do not hail from a village, but I am from the area around Hidden Sound… I am here to partake in the chuunin exams, like your self no doubt…”[/b] He paused ”you cant be from konoha for several reasons…but my apologies I am thinking out loud again”[/b] With that he smiled quickly, the smile was half malicious and half friendly but it did not remain long and his face returned to its almost sombre expression once again. He hadn’t taken into account the boys appearance since he had arrived and nor was he going to, he studied the surroundings and decided that this would be the right place to practice, it was secluded but shaped rather like an arena with plenty to use for substitution jutsu and cover but enough open ground for an actual fight.
He entered the circle of destroyed forest and stood arms by his side and head held high, “A duel… everything up to death is appropriate, the survivor leaves to tell the village where the other is”[/b]. He said respectfully, this may have seemed a little rash, but the best way to train was in mortal peril, he smiled at this thought.
With that he began to manipulate his chakra just around his vital organs, he then stood poised but still in the same position he had been before awaiting the acceptance of his challenge, If the boy really was here to train there would probably be no other choice in the boys mind.

Yami took another look at him, he seemed very well dressed for a typical shinobi, his way of talking seemed very spoiled, maybe he was one of those kids who'se parents are filthy rich and received the 'best' tutoring in the shinobi ways... That ticks Yami a bit, he never liked spoiled brats... He seemed 2 or 3 years younger than Yami. Yami raised an eyebrow, he wasn't from any village? That was probably a lie, only shinobi villages know about the exam... It wasn't a thing people would go out and discuss world wildly! It was kept a secret to avoid unpleasant acidents...
Yami glared the guy a bit... He said Yami didn't look like he came from Konoha? Could he know about Yami? Of course not, it was stupid just thinking about it. I'm sorry but I do hail from this village, although I am intrigued about the reason why you think I'm not from here. Would you mind charing?, he said while smiling a bit. Yami however flinched a bit when the guy mentioned something about a duel... Yami couldn't duel, otherwise the guy would find out about his Kekkai Genkai, and that would be a real trouble. You never know in who to trust but yourself. Yami can't duel, not now, he would need to do so in the Exam, but he would find a way to hide it. Strangely it would be easier to hide it from a million people rather then one single opponent. Yami decided to refuse the challenge, although he would do it in a respectful way, I'm terribly sorry, but there are certain complications that unable me from dueling right now... I too was eager to test my strength against yours. It's a shame really, he looked at the guy, he hoped he didn't press on it for too long, Yami's bloodlust was hitting him hard, he really wanted to fight.
Oh by the way, my name is Yami Usotsuki, may I ask what's your name?, Yami asked intrigued in knowing the guy's name, they would surely meet in the Chuunin Exam.

He knew the genin was lying, he could not have been from the village but in light of the situation he decided to leave it after he disclosed his reasons.
" I think that you could not be from this village becouse unlike the rest of the village shinobi you fail to show your headband or indeed any form of konoha crest, you again unlike the other genin are in the forest of death while the others are in there teams on practice missions and finaly i just have a gut feeling" With that he smiled and relaxed his pose slightly but kept the chakra flowing around his vital organs. He stood with his legs together and arms folded behind his back.
He waited for his answer regarding the duel and was unpleasently surpirsed that the boy who looked about his age was refusing his challenge, it wasent exactly like Aize gave him a chioce in the matter but he allowed it to slide since he was being respectful and he had continued the conversation. " My name is Aize Seikeimannen, heir to the Seikeimannen legacy and it is a plesure to meet you Yami" He decided on account of the informal situation he wasgoing to use the first name bases.
He waited in silence for a second and couold not help him self, "If you dont mind me asking why are you turning down my invitation for a duel... if it makes you that uncomfertable we could make it non leathel ", He said that last part a little patranisingly, he didnt know if he was afriad but if he had any pride this would hopefullly spur him on to further acts of violane.

Yami smile giving out a weak laugh, even though yami wasn't born in the village he was considered a Konohagakure shinobi, even if he didn't like it... Yami reached for the inner pocket of his kimono and showed the headband, he never wore it however, he had no pride in being a konoha shinobi, just the thought of being called that made him sick to his stomach... See?I don't like using it... That's why I don't show it., he gave a weak smile.
The guy introduced himself has Aize, just has Yami thought his family was loaded, that would explain his spoiled attitude, although he was respectful none the less... Yami nodded and said It's a pleasure to meet you Aize., although his feint smile was cut short when he started mentioning the duel again... Yami was a bit aggravated, he was probably thinking the problem was the lethal means, if that was the case he was also thinking Yami was afraid of dueling with him. He would surely feel superior to Yami if he thought so and that wouldn't help Yami feeling less pissed off. Suddenly Yami felt like he was being watched, it was probably the Anbu, they weren't that easy to fool... Every time they were near Yami would sense them, maybe it was his hatred warning him, although that was helpful. Oh no you misunderstood, the problem is not the lethal part... Has much has I hate to refuse the offer, I do have to decline. I hope that doesn't upset you..., Yami thought if he was going to provoke Yami so they would have to duel anyway... yami hoped not, if he did that Yami didn't even care if he found out what his Kekkai Genkai was...

Aize studied the head band and had to admit to himself that he was wrong... this was against all moral fibre’s in his body but the proof was concrete, he could not argue with it. This feeling of being wrong was not one he was used to, he prided himself on his knowledge and on the rare occasions that this failed he could still usually pull rank/states on individuals to convince them other wise... but alas not this time. Aize began to construct a reply to Yami’s declination of his dual when he felt something out of place, something different, he paused noticeably and tilted his head to try and hear a sound. Another ninja in the forest of death perhaps? ... No surely not it must have been an animal and with that his head returned to its normal elevation and he took a deep breath and continued his conversation. ” My apologies for the misunderstanding and it’s not a problem i can simply train in the manner you have... be levelling tree’s or something along those lines.... And with that i shan’t press the matter any further” He said smiling a little before noticing that Yami looked a little distracted, perhaps he had felt that “thing” that Aize had. Aize decided to wait for him to speak up first, he didn’t want to be wrong twice in the same conversation.
