CLAN HISTORY
Clan Name: Kazehito
Clan Leader: N/A -- clan is scattered
Clan Founder: Kazehito Takeo
Village Origins: Wind Country -- but not Sunagakure
Background: Said to be born from the fierce winds in the desert lands of the Wind Country, the Kazehito clan was mainly a matriarchal clan. Their bloodline limit was passed down to the children while they were in their mother’s womb.
Kazehito were a nomad group, traveling from place to place in the desert as performers using their bloodline limit, which they had not yet fully understood how to utilize. They traveled around the country in large caravan wagons, and were often seen as tricksters and miscreants in several towns for their stunts, and can be recognized by the colorful flags that donned what became their clan symbol -- a paper white akomeogi (Japanese folding fan) with a shimmering gold and red phoenix flying through silver clouds.
Kazehito Takeo was the first member to use the clan’s bloodline limit to defend himself when a drunken brawl broke out at a tavern one night. He was the first to realize that he could channel some sort of energy brimming inside him through his body and create winds strong and sharp enough to either defend or attack. Over time, he developed what the current clan members scattered all over the continent have come to call “Sei Kai”, or “Life Release”, and helped his clan fully realize their potential.
There was a brief struggle that broke out during the Great Shinobi Wars, between those who sought to fight to defend their country and those who merely sought peace. The clan broke into two as the warriors and floaters, and eventually dispersed throughout the lands as more and more decided to settle in areas they passed by.
Currently, the largest branch is located in Konohagakure no Satou, when Kazehito Kaoru, a member of the warrior branch, married a noble from the Fukuda family and bore many children. Her youngest granddaughter was the only one talented and patient enough to learn the old clan’s secrets.
Because of the similarities between the Yasuhiro clan and Kazehito clan’s bloodline limit, the two Genin from each family have been set into an arranged marriage in an attempt to create a stronger branch in their clan and rise back to power.
