CLAN HISTORY
Clan Name: Yasuhiro
Clan Leader: Yasuhiro Daijiro
Clan Founder: Yasuhiro Ryuuga
Village Origins: Mountain Country
Chakra Element: Katon and Raiton
Background: Rumored to be descendants from dragons because of their kekkei genkai, the Yasuhiro clan was once a noble samurai clan that originated in Yama no Kuni hundreds of years ago. The head of the clan was decided by a fearsome duel known as Ryuu Kai (Dragon Release), named after their bloodline limit, that takes place every 10 years. Only male members from the main branch were allowed to partake in the duel.
Their clan symbol was three diagonal yellow bars, with the middle being thicker than the outer two. The bar on top would stop at the second bar’s middle-side, and the third bar would begin at the other side of the middle bar, right where the first bar stopped and extended a little after the middle bar. It represented the rays of light that hid no lie and revealed every truth, referring to the meaning of their name Yasuhiro (Absolute honesty). Over the years, as their clan died out, their symbol was forgotten and became a very old-fashioned way of identifying the clan members.
They were an intelligent and highly successful clan, and members of the main branch were held in high reverence. It was said that their arrogance is perhaps why the clan perished in the end. Their Northern Shaolin taijutsu style was fierce, fast and powerful, capable of sending any enemy fired back with streams of hot intense flames, but their fighters were always small in number because the power required absolute complete chakra control. It was said that only those who truly connected with their spiritual natures were able to utilize their Raiton chakra.
Only members of the main branch are able to summon lizards. No blood contract is used to summon the lizards; an age-old settlement was established hundreds of years ago between the two, and because the settlement was made by the current clan head at the time, the lizards will only adhere to the requests and wishes of those belonging to the main branch who are distinguishable by a distinct chakra strain that the lizards are able to sense.
The clan inter-married to keep their blood pure, and it resulted in a number of complications that began to slow the growth of the once noble clan. Many of their sons were infertile and the few who weren’t had poor chakra circulation systems.
During both Great Shinobi Wars, many were killed and the clan was nearly wiped out. There are currently only 4 members left of the clan, one of whom is the last male heir. Because of the destruction and horrors of war, the last 4 members of the clan migrated from the Mountain Country into the Fire Country in search of a peaceful future.
Of the last four remaining in Konoha, only one is from the main branch -- Daijiro, the second son of the former head. He has lost the ability to use his bloodline limit when his chakra system burned out after the war, and has grown old and bitter. The other three clan members are two members of the branch family, and the last male heir to the Yasuhiro clan.
Because of the similarities between the Yasuhiro clan and Kazehito clan’s bloodline limit, the two Genin from each family have been set into an arranged marriage in an attempt to create a stronger branch in their clan and rise back to power.
