Background: In the shinobi world, the Hosokawa clan is considered to be a laughing joke. Although they cannot be touched by any ninjutsu because of their bloodline limit, they worse than an Academy Student in taijutsu and are extremely vulnerable to genjutsu. To make matters worse, every members who has the ability to use their bloodline limit is cursed with the infamous Hosokawa Virus -- an extreme lack of desire to do anything that requires movement. In short, they are the lazy clan.
They originated in the Earth Country, in a lush land that was abundant with food and game. The Hosokawa clan wasn’t always the lazy clan they are known now -- that happened after the Great Shinobi Wars. They were once a powerful clan, known for their skills in taijutsu and ninjutsu, deemed nearly impenetrable because of their bloodline limit, but extremely vulnerable to genjutsu. It was said that a Genin-level shinobi was able to successfully cast a Jounin-level clan member in a genjutsu and have them unsuspecting for days.
Their summons choice is mice, using them along with their Doton Jutsu and for miscellaneous purposes, such as sending messages or scouting.
During the Great Shinobi Wars, several families relocated deep in the forests of the Fire Country to avoid the hardships of war. They didn’t live in peace for long, because they were soon discovered and forced into the war. During that time, there was a family with twin brothers -- Roku and Goku, the diligent son and the lazy son, respectively. Goku and his family claimed that they were no shinobi because he didn’t want to fight (not because he was a pacifist, but because he would have to trudge through the forest for “god knows how long”). It was during the Shinobi Wars that the Hosokawa clan began to grow into what they were now -- the lazy clan -- because the members who weren’t were killed or severely crippled in the war.
To shinobi in existence now, it is said that Goku was the founder of the present-day Hosokawa clan, and that the original died out in the war.
But they’re still here, living in Konoha peacefully and quietly.
