~A Break From The Sage~
Naruto sighed as he walked steadily towards a small river. He'd been wih Jiraiya for ages and in all the time since they left Konoha this was the closest he'd come to his home. He missed the friends he had made there and was feeling a little nostalgic. He was off to bathe in the river and relax on his own a little. Jiraiya was occupying himself in a little village tea house with a cute serving girl so there was no need for Naruto to hurry.
He stripped down to his boxers and jumped straight in. There was a yell and some splashing and withing five seconds he was back on the river bank with his teeth chattering so loudly he was certain they'd be heard way off in Konohagakure. He tried again slowly, easing himself in toes first, allowing his body to adjust to the temperature of the water. Before long he was floating on his back, holding loosely to a branch to stop himself drifting downstream. He watched the clouds as the passed by over head, he could understand why Shikamaru enjoyed this so much. His blue eyes glinted in the warm sunshine of the day as he got lost in thought.
