[Yamaki Kohaku]

Yamaki listened to the story from the Jonin and narrowed his eyes curiously. He was as surprised as the rest of his teammates, he figured, from their also confused faces. It had been a while since anything like this had happened, and - he looked at the shinobi's various wounds - a long time since anything this serious.

He listened as Misaki suggested they help and thought about it calmly in his mind, that was until Hiro answered in a tone he had not previously used before. That was...odd. He'd stuttered for the first time too, up until now he'd appeared quite calculating. Yamaki was noted for quick observations and analytical skills. From the start he'd been curious about this guy, but even more so now. He would have to keep an eye on him, but he was nothing that the Chuunin, Yanagi couldn't handle, he supposed.
"I'm in." He smiled at Misaki, then stretched his arms behind his head and held them there. His eyes followed Hiro as he pulled Yanagi aside, seemingly talking to her in a hushed whisper, probably about his thoughts on this escapade. Yamaki had his ideas about this so called rogue attack but he wasn't letting on just yet, he needed more information to work from. He smiled at Misaki in a reassuring way as they were left stood awkwardly on their own while the other two in their new gang talked.

"I don't think this is what it seems." He mused aloud to the girl. "Its too random, we need to know the motive..." And Hiro's motives... He thought to himself, frowning a little at the thought and releasing his hands from the back of his neck. He twirled a Kunai on his finger while he waited for the talking to end, hoping they wouldn't be too long, he was curious now. He wanted to check out the ninjas gathered near the hospital and get an idea on who was being sent and how many. They needed to properly assess the enemy too.

And I thought I was going to have a relaxing evening too... He sighed, smiling at the irony and the chance of an adventure. Relaxing evenings were nice, adventures were nicer.

[Yanagi Fuyu]

Yanagi listened to the report with a faint frown on her brow, though she was growing increasingly concerned.
’How did they get through the barrier around the village without being detected? Yes, people are coming and going from Konoha all the time, but foreign ninja are challenged if they aren’t here without reason. For them to get by unopposed, their chakra levels must have been minimal, that of an untrained civilian.’ Yanagi thought, her curiosity about the intruders swelling. ’Or they know a way to bypass the barrier and not raise the alarm.’ That worried her, more than anything. If rogues could successfully infiltrate and damage Konoha, then if that information fell into organised, powerful hands, the chaos they could wreak on the town would be catastrophic.

Her silent, masked musings were interrupted by Hiro as he pulled her aside.
Rather than reduce her concerns, however, he increased them.
Casting a discreet glance at the rest of the group, Yanagi leant forward slightly and dropped her voice, just in case someone was trying to listen to what wasn’t for their ears.
“I don’t know where you got your information from, Akechi-san, but you know far more than your station dictates. I’d ask for an explanation right now but I doubt time will permit me. I agree with your plan, however I will tell you now I will be keeping a very close watch on you until we have time for your explanation. Understood?” Yanagi’s quiet tone held no threat, but a soft, unveiled warning to the genin. She didn’t trust him, this ninja who wore no headband.
Giving Hiro a last searching look, Yanagi waved Misaki and Kohaku over, bowed to the Jounin, then set off, jumping over the village walls with a chakra aided leap, leading her team into the unusually quiet town.

As they moved through the alleys – Yanagi was avoiding the streets and rooftops due to the increased exposure and chance of being spotted by the enemy – she quickly briefed Kohaku and Misaki on the plan, deciding not to mention who had first voiced it.
“So, I’d like to do a quick surveillance around the hospital, just in case any of our unwelcome visitors are hanging about to check things are going smoothly.” Yanagi concluded, a light flicker of her eyes confirming that all of them were listening. “Speaking of which, they may be expecting us there too, if someone was watching who’s arriving at the village...I assume you can all perform a basic bunshin jutsu?”She asked, glancing around at them all for affirmation. “Create one, and send it to the hospital meeting with everyone else. That way anyone keeping a record of those who arrived at the gate and then went on to the hospital won’t suspect if we don’t show. They should only need to pass a quick glance, so we only need illusions rather than physical shadow clones.” Yanagi wouldn’t expect the genin to be able to pull off shadow clones yet – they took a lot of chakra.
That said, Yanagi followed her own instructions and weaved the necessary seals, then sent her bunshin towards the hospital at the head of their illusionary team.

“If there’s no sign of the intruders around the hospital, then we broaden our search. If you come across an enemy, try to knock them out and disable any means of communication they have on them, preferably before they realise you’re there. We want these guys alive so that the Interrogations people can have their fun with them.” There was only the slightest edge of violence to Yanagi’s tone, but it was tangible. She defended her village, quite literally at times, tooth and nail.
“If you are unsuccessful and end up fighting them, do your best but be sensible. Don’t go trying to be a hero – if they’re too strong, fall back and find me. Please don’t be reckless,” Yanagi said, her tone dangerously close to pleading. Her being reckless was fine in her book, but she didn’t want these kids to get hurt, nor did she fancy dealing with their irate family and friends should they get injured.
“Any questions?”

[Misaki]

Misaki looked around, thinking, studying. There was something strange about all this. From the looks on her team-mates' faces they all agreed on at least that. She stayed silent as she looked around trying to spot some clue as to why rouges would use such skills to attack. What does Konoha have that they would want? she asked silently.

Misaki only briefly glanced up as Hiro pulled Yanagi to the side. There was something strange about him, but she didn't think he had anything to do with this. She looked up at Yamaki spoke. Misaki nodded. I agree. Something strange is up. [/color] She replied. A motion caught her attention. Yanagi was waving them over.

She walked over to the Chuunin's side. While listening to the new plan she nodded. Bowing to the Jounin, she jumped and followed the others. When Yanagi paused to tell them about making a illusion clone she nodded again, then did as she was told. After making the illusion she took out a kunai and slipped her first finger through the hole.

She looked at the others, purple eyes shining with the prospect of adventure. Do we split here? [/color] She asked the Chuunin. She would have rather worked in pairs, under these conditions, but she knew that they could move faster alone.
